It's an early Autumn Eve in Moscow in the year 1896. The handsome soldier you have been admiring from afar for years, has asked you to accompany him to see Fyodor Shalyapin, in one of his most memorable roles, as Ivan The Terrible in "Pskovityanka" at the Moscow Private Opera House. You reply in an almost inaudible whisper, "I shall be so honored sir". Your heart is racing, as your only concern at this point is WHAT SHALL I WEAR? You then realize you have the perfect piece de resistance. It is a lovely overcoat made of shimmering iredescent taffeta. This "Russian Opera" coat is full length and features a pleat in each side of the front as well as one in the back. It even features hidden pockets in the pleats to hold your opera glasses. The pleats in the front feature velvet bows and the single pleat in the back is detailed with two velvet covered buttons. The sleeves feature the most delicate knife pleats you have ever seen, and are cuffed in faux Persian Lamb. The collar is perfect for the slight Siberian winds, as it is also made of Faux Persian Lamb and flips up to protect your face and ears. The Opera Coat buttons down the front just far enough to show your soldier a little leg. Just think of the fantasies you can play out wearing this amazing "Russian Opera" coat.
